EmergencyPrep: How-It-Works drill at the Wedgwood Emergency HUB*

Saturday, April 9th, 2016,

9 am – 11:00 am

Wedgwood Presbyterian Church, downstairs rm, 8008 35th Ave NE, Seattle

Let us know you are coming. RSVP – NESeattlePrepares@gmail.com

This drill will instruct participants how to manage and coordinate exchanging information and resources among themselves without outside disaster assistance from City services.

All Welcome. Come practice that which will help us in an emergency.

*This Emergency Communications Hub is

• our pre-determined gathering place in case a major disaster occurs that causes normal communication modes to fail.

• here to help the community reestablish communication and information sharing to save lives, preserve property, and protect the environment.

• here to facilitate local information sharing and serve as a gateway through which the neighborhood can communicate with the rest of the world.

• NOT supplied with provisions immediately following a serious emergency or  disaster

Bring a neighbor. The more people aware of this resource for the community, the better.

This is no a  city wide drill. This  just happening in Wedgwood this time. I think there is a drill scheduled for other HUBS in June. The LC hub will probably announce it if they are involved

Anyone know if there is anything similar planned for the Lake City/Cedarhurst/Pinehurst area? (I think the closest hub is the Fred Meyer parking lot)
