Hey Community Kitchen Folks, I'm changing the menu from what was previously listed to Bean burritos, Mexican rice, green salad and Blueberry peach cobbler. So what folks need to volunteer to bring is: two packs of tortillas, one qt. of sour cream, four onions, seven tomatoes, six avocados and two heads of lettuce. I'll be bringing the beans for the burritos and the blueberries and peaches. Someone else is bringing the ingredients for the Mexican rice. See everyone on the 19th of September. Lee

I'd like to come to this one - will RSVP for sure closer to the date. If I make it, I will be happy to contribute something that is still needed. Karen

I'll put in an onion and the bread crumbs but I don't think I can come as it happens. That's the final day of the Permaculture Convergence and I'm volunteering full time there. If it goes until five, maybe I can't make it to MLLC by seven. We'll see.

This month, we will be making bean burgers, potato salad, green bean salad and blueberry peach cobbler. To make this dinner we need 3 green peppers, 10 lbs. potatoes peeled and boiled, 5 lbs. green beans, 8 large peaches, 3 large onions, 2 bunches scallions, 1 cup olive oil, 1 cup red wine vinegar, 1 lb. butter, 3 cups bread crumbs, 1 large jar mayo, 2 large red onions, 20 burger buns, 1 cup cider vinegar, 1 bunch celery. I will be bringing the beans for the burgers and blueberries for the cobbler.

OK, I have breadcrumbs. Some recipes use eggs for binding. I could bring some eggs if we use one of those recipes.

I'm out of town mid-month Aug, Sept, and Oct. Hope to pitch in again soon...

yes the burgers will be made from scratch. White beans with lots of seasoning and probably breadcrumbs or mushrooms or something to hold them together, Lee was going to find a recipe
