Event Description

A new wave is sweeping the country. People are recognizing the joy, satisfaction and security of being able to provide for their own needs, shifting from dependence on giant corporations to a healthy interdependence with our local community. Let’s relearn the skills our grandparents knew!

Folks from our neighborhood have stepped up to share skills such as food preparation, seed saving, edible weed walk, tool repair, basics of mason bees, unusual fruit trees that grow in NW, copper pipe soldering, making elderberry syrup, clothing exchange, simple bike maintenance, building a Seattle Tilth worm bin, and Sashiko (Boro), just to name a few. LOOK the class schedule in a couple of weeks for final class options.

Thank you to whomever took the time to redesign the event banner with MARCH 30 on it.  I believe leading the title of the event with "Postponed" or "Reschedule" confused folks as to whether event was changing from March 30 to another date.  Maybe first line of event description is enough confirmation the old Feb date is history and MARCH 30 is the date to note.  When I repost the event to synergize with like-minded groups the message gets muddled.  Folks on the web just scan for basics like date and time.  I also noticed that King County Solid Waste is hosting a series of Repair Cafes throughout King County!  :-)  White Center has one March 9.  Great the repair revolution is catching on!  Thank you everyone with NE Seattle Tool Bank for your leadership getting King County overall to embrace repair and reuse!
