Event Description

This Thornton Creek natural area is overrun with invasive ivy and blackberries.  It would be wonderful if this area could be made into a place where people could walk and sit to enjoy the birds and other animals.  We will be working south of the former LaVilla Dairy and north of the intersection of Lake City Way and Fischer Place NE.  You can park vehicles at the dairy.  Please bring shovels, loppers, pruners, spading forks, and gloves if you have them. We will have some extra tools but no gloves.
First work party:  Saturday, July 23, 9-12 noon.
Any time you can give is appreciated.

Why do I never find out about this stuff until too late?

Anytime you want the goats help with this, just contact me.  I won't leave them there, but will work with them, or haul a lot of the plant material away depending on how the work is organized.
