Event Description

Join us at the Ravenna Community Garden, learn to divide perennials, and  swap plants that you might have extras of. There are many perennials which can and should be divided every few years in order to invigorate and increase your stock. If you have a plant you'd like to bring a clump of, we'll talk about how to divide it and will trade the extras among the participants. We'll have pots and soil on hand. A small donation to cover the purchase of potting soil would be much appreciated! Some common plants that can be divided- iris, hosta, astilbe, sedum, bleeding heart, crocosmia and asters. If you have plants that don't need division but you'd like to swap, please bring them.  Strawberry and raspberry starts would be great to share!  Oregano and lemon balm, not so much! Check out the Ravenna Community Garden website to learn more about the garden.
