Dinner is at your feet!
Many of us already appreciate the ability of the land around us, even in an urban setting, to grow food by way of our gardens. How many of us, though, know how to take advantage of the useful plants that are already growing all around us? Come join us as we learn to make use of the bounty the spring season calls forth from the urban soils of NE Seattle! We'll meet up at 11:00am at several locations around NE Seattle (map to come) and walk through our community, learning about what is edible and useful in our urban natural environment and how to gather it. We'll then meet up at Meadowbrook Community Center at 1:30pm for a discussion on what we found and more about urban foraging, followed by a meal featuring the fruits of our day's efforts. We hope you'll join us for what is sure to be a day of fun, learning, and community!
