A new wave is sweeping the country. People are recognizing the joy, satisfaction and security of being able to provide for their own needs, shifting from dependence on giant corporations to a healthy interdependence with our local community. Let’s relearn the skills our grandparents knew! Folks from our neighborhood have stepped up to share skills such as food preparation, seed saving, soap making, basic electrical, tool repair, mason bees, pruning, mushroom cultivation, drywall basics, simple bike maintenance, and Sashiko (Boro), just to name a few. See the class schedule linked below for the schedule as of 1/11/19.

I look forward to attending 2019 Skills Fair on rescheduled date! 3/30 works great for me. Thanks JoAnn for wisely cancelling far enough in advance so instructors don't waste their valuable time schlepping stuff when the Meadowbrook Center is likely to be closed anyway!
See you all in March!!! :-) - Janine
Workshops are first come. Past history told us rsvp are not always a guarantee that people will come so we fill the class to the instructors max and then it is up to them to decide if extras can stay and observe. Most times it is ok.
Is it necessary or required to rsvp for workshops, or is it first-come, first-served?
Thanks for also posting as a Facebook event so I can help promote it there too. Thanks to everyone who contributes to this awesome event!!
