Wednesdays January 11 through February 8, 7:00-8:30pm
St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 111 NE 80th, Seattle, WA
“Becoming a Low Impact Church: A Practical Look at Shrinking Your Environmental Footprint,” will explore the realities of energy, waste, and food in our churches, will introduce practical, action-oriented ways each participant’s congregation can become a low-impact institution, and will equip participants to become leaders in their own parishes and congregations. Instructor J.B. Hoover is a volunteer at St. Andrew’s Episcopal church and the Diocese of Olympia. In his ministry, he challenges and engages the church to fulfill its potential to be a model of environmental stewardship in the community. Guests with expertise in various areas of environmental concern will assist.
Participants are also invited to Centering Prayer at 5:45 in the Chapel and supper at 6:15 in the Parish Hall before each 7:00 class.
Registration fee is $50 with a $10 discount if you register by January 5 or if you are a senior, student, or low income. Scholarships are always available. Request a registration form at firstname.lastname@example.org. You may find more details on the classes by emailing or by checking St. Andrew’s website, www.saintandrewsseattle.org.
