need Help! volunteers for Meadowbrook Annual Garden juniper bed construction

Hi Folks,

so we’ve managed to get the first nine beds (flower “petals”) of the flower installed – will still need some trimming http://sustainableneseattle.ning.com/photo/dscn3608?context=album&a...

I’m trying to line up more work parties to install (not necessarily finish) the next ten beds (the “leaves”). They'll go here: http://sustainableneseattle.ning.com/photo/dscn3610?context=album&a...

You can check out what we've done so far here (slide show): http://sustainableneseattle.ning.com/photo/albums/meadowbrook-commu...

We would welcome any time you’ve got available that fits these tentative times beginning tomorrow evening:

  • Wed. July 25th 6:30 – 8:30pm
  • Thurs. July 26th 6:30 – 8:30pm
  • Fri. July 27th 10:00am – 2:00pm
  • Sat. July 28th 2:30 – 4:30pm
  • Sun. July 29th1:30 – 3:30pm
  • Mon. July 30th 6:30 – 8:30pm
  • Tues. July 31st 10:00am – 2:00pm
  • Wed. Aug. 1st 6:30 – 8:30pm
  • Thurs. Aug. 2nd 6:30 – 8:30pm

Please contact me via email suejohnsusne@earthlink.net or phone 522-4350 so that I can arrange and contact you for details...

Thanx,

John

Hey thank you all so much for all of your work.  I have a pinched nerve in my elbow that is barely recovered from the little bit of sod I moved during the sod busting and makes my work week miserable.  I feel bad that I am not helping but I can't lift, saw or hammer right now without hurting myself.  But know I am supporting from the sidelines...

Aylee, thanx for all your work already & hope it gets better soon..

thanx for supporting.. shouldn't need to get hurt to get this done!  It'll get done when its time..

We've already lost two folks to complications from prior injuries..

We just want folks that are not already injured at this point

John

Hey John and Sue,

Back from the heat of Colo and most impressed with the progress you all made while we were gone.

I just showed up this evening (8/1) and waited until 6:40 and no one showed. Did I need to call before?

I'm tied up tomorrow night.

Have a good vaca. Let me know how to help make progress while you guys are gone.

Best! Dan Keefe

Hey Dan,

guess we just missed you by a few minutes.. got there late and Shan was waiting for us.

Robert showed up maybe five minutes later.  We spent this evening drilling holes and starting to drive the 5/8" rebar corner stakes..

..will continue Thurs nite with same and try to finish first part - then thats it for me for a couple weeks..

John
