An interfaith hospital chaplain, Trudy James, ­speaks of death and ­dying, ­advance directives, and legacy work from experience and with a ­compassionate heart. She recently retired from a twenty year career ­creating ­faith-based volunteer CareTeams for persons ­living and dying with AIDS –in Arkansas, and in King County. Through her ­business, Heartwork, she facilitates spiritual retreats, grief and loss groups and end of life planning groups.
