Lynn, Did you get an answer to this request for election night? If not you might try sending it out through a "send message to the group" found on each Group page above the pics of the members. You can send it to any group you belong to then they get it like an email rather than having to find it on the web site.

Late notice , BUT, would some folks like to join with me in a casual potluck and watching television accounts of election returns? Around 7:00??
I have a nice home by Sand Pt. Way and 107th NE.
Or maybe I could come to you.

Please call me if interested ASAP. Don't want to spend election night solo, and wiould love to be with some NE community!!

Well now that we finally successfully completed the 'lawn gone' process, my daughter and I are experiencing a surprising 'home gone'. We are having to move as my husband and I are getting a divorce. Aliyah and I would prefer to move into or create an intentional sustainable community, very family or 'village' oriented and locally committed. We are starting from scratch which makes moving into an already existing place looking to expand community / just need help to maintain sustainability or cosigning a new place with experienced or extremely excited and committed sustainably minded humans very worth it on this most overwhelming, sometimes unfortunate though amazing opportunity of transitions.

I appreciate comments, inquiries and all available brainstorming ideas.

We have much to contribute and are looking forward to celebrating community.

First, I'm finding the comment wall a little confusing because of the old posts from 2011 and before, can these be deleted?

Second, and to my purpose, I've been working on the site plan for 2012 at Hunter Gathering Place and want to get together with somebody to review the draft.  Is anyone interested?  Please email me at westland@drizzle.com or call 206 849 8141.  I'll be out in the field working today, but would love to hear from you.

There IS a way for non-admins to post non-Sustainable NE Seattle Events. It's the "Other Events" forum, and any member can post to it.

This doesn't put the event on the home page, but that's because we need to have our Sust. NE Seattle events visible on the home page (or else our events are too hard to find).

20 of them are plastic and I have about 10 metal ones...sorry that they are not wooden. I'm going to bring them anyway. Perhaps they could go in front of the stage.

I like it!
I have some of the other scientists rounded up to volunteer at the kids booth so all hours will be covered with some science and I am going to try to find a couple more kid activities as well.

I also put the word out for volunteers at a table that will be organizations who are recruiting volunteers. North End Emergency Service Center, BEM, soup kitchens in our community are always short a couple of people and one commitment a month from a volunteer makes a big difference. I'll try to get all organizations that serve our communities the opportunity to at least put some literature out there.
Thanks for the edit and the return doc. I duplicated the poster that I got at the Maple Leaf ice cream social 50 times and will get them dispursed(sp) within the next week.
I have arranged to use my moms RAV to haul equipment...here's my list.
2 canopies
3 banquet tables
2 table tops (they will need saw horses)
20 or so folding chairs
2 big igloo water jugs (2 or 3 gal)
a Mad Science fun station
a tablecloth and volunteer info
volunteers to man both of those activities
info printing if needed

I have also asked a couple music people about playing for a short period of time.
One is a couple who does bluegrass and the other is kida eclectic percussion...a single guy. The couple sounded more positive about it but neither have gotten back.
I'll work up an hour by hour schedule of events for the kid station after the weekend.
I'm off to the coast for a couple of days to see what's going on in that life. Have a nice weekend!
