Has anyone ever grown "8 row flint" corn?  Was it worth it?  Any seeds left?

Growing corn in our area takes a lot of space, water, and nitrogen for a modest crop.  That said I am planting some multi-colored popcorn that my granddaughter picked out of a catalog. Don't know 8-row flint corn.  What is its claim to fame?

It's an Indian corn from New England area.  Small ears, just 8 rows, lots of flavor and nutrients.  Supposedly makes the best polenta of any corn.  see:link
