Much more easy to share and recommend than a book, even though there are great books on the subject.I highly recommend it as *the* resource to recommend to…See More

Awareness

Raise awareness of the inter-connectedness of three crises: energy (peak-oil), environmental (climate chaos) and financial. The purpose of this guild is educational outreach on the myriad of topics related to our local Transition movement. This outreach includes supporting existing guilds or seeding new ones. We will organize films with discussion; book study groups; or just general discussions about topics of interest. As a Transition Initiative, we do not discuss religion or politics.See More

Profile Information

What parts of our mission are you interested in (for example, growing food/food security, appropriate energy technologies, transportation, community building, etc.)?
I'm interested in just about everything that could possibly be connected with the Transition movement. I'm delighted to find so many people who recognize the problems we face and are actively working toward solutions together.
How do you see yourself being involved with Sustainable NE Seattle? What skills, talents and passions are you willing to share?
I'm a programmer. I make computer games. I'm particularly interested in using games and other interactive media to raise awareness and explore the dynamics of climate change, peak oil, food, energy, money, community, transportation, and so on.
