Thanks everyone who made the success of the shelter/TC3 meal this past Sunday possible. We had at least 25 volunteers. It was very much appreciated and enjoyed by all of 80 or so people we served. The menu was vegetable jambalaya, sauteed kale, garlic bread, satsumas, squash cake and apple/pear cobbler....mmmm!Next month the dinner is on Feb. 20th and I will put out a call for volunteers 7-10 days prior. Forty-plus people participated in cooking/serving/cleaning the meal for 120 (or so) people...alot of work but we DID it together. The menu was vegetable chili, cornbread with butter/honey, garlic bread, coleslaw and chocolate cake. We got alot of food donations and several donations of money.Thanks to everyone who participated.
