"How about identifying one or 2 people on your block who you think might be interested. Have a side 'o the mailboxes discussion, or meet for coffee/tea and describe this idea in a nutshell. Ask them what they'd like to see, whether…"
"Go outside and garden ;0) This is the way I am sparking conversations with my neighbors and catching them on the street as they are out for a walk. They all stop to see what I am doing...

"I hear you JoAnn, I am not sure how to get started. I am sure we have had something in place, and maybe I just don't know about it. We have not had a block gathering/party for 5 years and there are many new families. I am…"

Update:Loved the movie night I attended a few weeks ago, and the $3 solar oven workshop, and the solar cookout. This is a good group, and I'd like to spend more time with you. I do have a vegetable garden (no more grass), and I'm a semi-retired RN and an active volunteer ESL teacher. Just remembered (it's been a while), sometimes I use, or attempt to restore, people-powered sewing machines (treadles and handcranks).
