Dear Joann:

Thanks for friending  me on Susainable NE Seattle.  I went on the website to upload my picture but when I tried to “open” the picture the program kicked me back to my documents file.  Not sure what the problem was. 

At any rate, I have several things I’d like to do on the site, but am not sure how to.  I’m wondering if I might gt together with you for an hour Saturday afternoon or Monday at Third Place Books to work on these things:

Uploading a picture

Sending out my own friends requests

Joining some guilds

Creating an event to discuss seed saving with others

As well, I saw the poster at the library for the events of the group for the fourth quarter.  The December event is a potluck and crafting gathering.  However, the poster doesn’t say how the crafting comes into the picture.  Are we to bring crafting projects to work on at the event?  Crafts we have made?  Is it an exchange.  I would like to sign up for this event, but don’t want to show up with the wrong thing in terms of the crafting segment.

Hello, Joan,

I have a message from another fake "member" that is clearly phishing. (I sent you a message in September about the first one, and you booted them.) Are other people getting these messages as well? I'm wondering why our little group, which seems too small to attract much attention, is being targeted. Weird, and a little creepy. I don't have this problem in any other group I'm in.

I see from your profile info that you are a graphic designer! I was wondering if you'd have any interest in using your skills to help make a Transition-related computer game as part of the Awareness Guild here. I am a game programmer, and I would like to lead an effort to develop computer games that would help spread awareness and understanding of issues such as peak oil, soil erosion, sustainable agriculture, and financial systems.
