I am planning on putting up a coop and duck house this fall and will be looking for unusual layers of all types (pullets). I'd like a mixed flock of good layers and prefer large birds but open to the smaller ones if you like yours. I will be taking classes and reading all I can on raising Cs & Ds. However, I do have one question you experts might readily know. The prospective location for my coop/duck house is in a shady area surrounded by conifers. Will this be a comfortable and healthy…See More

Profile Information

What parts of our mission are you interested in (for example, growing food/food security, appropriate energy technologies, transportation, community building, etc.)?
I am interested in having ducks (which I love), chickens and eventually a miniature goat on my Seattle property. We can't grow much here as we have huge trees on a double lot, but we have a lot of room for small animals (as the code permits).
How do you see yourself being involved with Sustainable NE Seattle? What skills, talents and passions are you willing to share?
I'd like to learn more. I have some experience with farm animals from many years ago. I am computer/internet literate and open to requests.
List other affiliations/groups that you participate in with similar missions.
