What parts of our mission are you interested in (for example, growing food/food security, appropriate energy technologies, transportation, community building, etc.)?
Growing and preserving food, native plant landscapes, rain harvesting, weatherproofing the home, solarizing, useful hand crafts such as knitting and sewing, community building.
How do you see yourself being involved with Sustainable NE Seattle? What skills, talents and passions are you willing to share?
I very much want to network with neighbors interested in preparing for self-sufficiency and building local community to cope with the face of a less functional wider society as climate change, peak oil and economic problems accelerate. I don't know what I have to contribute at the moment aside from genuine concern for the future and a desire to learn how to prepare for it as an individual and in community.
List other affiliations/groups that you participate in with similar missions.
None yet, really - I'm just getting started.
How did you hear about us?
I Googled "Transition Initiative movement seattle" after reading a description of a presentation Starhawk is presenting at the Women of Wisdom conference next month
