The Four Steps Required to Keep Monsanto OUT of Your Garden

I received the below link from another homeschooling mom. I am without a garden currently and moving to less space but am hoping to get in at least two Sq' Ft garden boxes of greens. I understand…Continue

This is a follow-up to Maggie's post 'Ning use'.I am not questioning that Administrators are the only ones to post events, I think that is a great Quality Control process as long as you have a team…Continue

Hello Catrayl,

You are most welcome. I enjoyed learning more about the process and contributing to the effort.

I might be interested in a garden share.  Aylee, whose yard we desodded before yours, also has offered.  Anyway, I will follow-up in the near future. Right now I am needing to focus on other things.

Hi Catarayl,

I got your message about sharing cherries.  Someone else actually wanted the other 30 pounds so I think I am covered, but Susan Gregory also wants some, perhaps you can find someone else and go together with her?

Hi,

I just accepted your invitation, and wanted you to know that COOL is sponsoring a Pesticide Summit on June 4th here in NE Seattle.  Go to www.organiclandscapers.org for the full story.  Also, you can visit www.magnusonchildrensgarden.blogspot.com for all the events going on there, many of which I will be in attendance.

Cheers,

Emily

Hi catrayl- you're in the right place! Definitely let us know when you're ready to get that lawn gone!
How about sheet mulching it over the winter?

Profile Information

What parts of our mission are you interested in (for example, growing food/food security, appropriate energy technologies, transportation, community building, etc.)?
We have wanted to create a sustainable intentional community in a house bought in 2009; unfortunately, my husband realized that he'd rather have his own space. My daughter and I are now looking to create community or jump in with an already sustainably committed household. We un/homeschool and would love to expand our environmental curriculum with hands on and community based participation. We have much to contribute and are looking for like-minded families/individuals to put into practice a sustainable permaculture urban alternative community and/or smaller intentional community cohousing.
How do you see yourself being involved with Sustainable NE Seattle? What skills, talents and passions are you willing to share?
Well, we have failed at my original promise to be actively involved as my injury got the priority of attention. Now, as my daughter and I look for a new home, I hope to get connected with family(ies) or individual(s) who will be inspired to co-create a stronger community with a loud Sustainable NE Seattle commitment and actively practice its mission and encourage event success.
