Step-Dad looking for a room in NE Seattle

I hope this is the right place to post such a thing.

My husband recently left us - our 9yo son Oliver, and me. He is living with his mistress now.  :(  Because of this, my stepfather, Max, is planning to move back to Seattle from Ecuador, for emotional support and etc.  

He is in his 60's, and quite handy. Plumbing, carpentry, gardening, computers, pet care, etc. He wants to move back in May.

He is hoping to find a room in a house, or some space in a MIL etc in exchange…

Fermentation & Community Economics

I found that there is a Lecture & Fancy Fermented Foods Dinner with Fermentationist Revivalist and Author Sandor Katz in Olympia,WA on April 10, 2013 starting at 6:30pm.

I am new to Seattle, and in a middle of looking for a car.  If I can find a group of people who are also interested in going to this event, I would like to go together and share the gas cost. (I live in Seattle area)
