EarthCorps, a local non-profit, based in Magnsuon Park, is still seeking two North end host families/individuals for their International participants who arrive at the end of May. EarthCorps restores local parks, streams and green spaces in and around Seattle. EarthCorps international members are post college young adults seeking additional training in practical restoration practices, leadership and community organizing to build their professional resumes. They speak English well and are quite independent. EarthCorps pays homestays a stipend of $350 to off set food and utility expenses. Internationals also receive a small spending allowance. Current individuals include a park ranger from Ethiopia and an environmental educator from Pakistan. Call Su at 206.322.9296 ext. 224 for more information.
