Connecting for a sustainable community

Event: Bridge to the Future: Communities in Transition

You're invited to connect with members of the local community in a participative event to explore what might be in store for the next chapter of your life and work. The economic situation is revealing new opportunities to connect and support each other. Engaging with members of the community to share ideas and support have never been as important as they are now.

The Community Conversations Project (http://communityconversationsproject.ning.com/) has created a workshop in two half-day sessions in which you'll:
- Contribute your stories
- Discover community strengths
- Foster connections and share resources

When: May 11th 8am – 12pm, and May 12th, 1pm – 5pm
Where: Third Place Books Commons, Lake Forest Park
Cost: Free to the public
Host: Rachel Lyn Rumson with a small group of folks

Hey Sustainable NE Seattle. I look forward to the next event I can particpate in. I have been learning about Transition Towns while planning the above event, that is how I found you. I want to spread the word and invite you all. It is not a TT event so unless someone brings it up, I won't be talking about peak oil or the end of suburbia. We will be using world cafe and open space though. Please come.

Glad to know you!

I am thinking radius, Leo. People are welcome of the surrounding area too. It is a pilot for a gathering deisgn that can be used in other communities. .

Hi Rachel. That looks like a cool event. Are you promoting this primarily within the Lake Forest Park community?
