There is an event coming Nov 13th (Liveable Streets, see our home page) that is focused on improving the biking in our NE neighborhoods. I hope to see many of you there. And to help make this event successful, the organizers are asking people in our neighborhoods to fill out a survey about their bike riding habits and recommendations. This is a very short survey and it is focused on our section of town. Take a few minutes and fill it out. It will help Childrens assess how to best spend the 4 Million dollars they have committed to spending to improve transportation around here.
Do you bike, or would you like to bike in Northeast Seattle? If so, we want to know what will make bicycling safer and more convenient for you! Seattle Children’s Hospital has committed to spending $4 million in transportation improvements in Northeast Seattle. These improvements will include bicycle and pedestrian upgrades, such as better access to the Burke Gilman Trail.
To help inform the kind of improvements that Seattle Children's will make, Cascade Bicycle Club is collecting valuable information from residents of Northeast Seattle about bicycling needs, routes and recommendations. You can help by taking this short survey.
After taking the survey, mark your calendars for November 13 for the Livable Streets Workshop. Seattle Children’s, Cascade Bicycle Club, and many other sponsors are hosting this workshop for all ages to provide information about transportation improvements and to learn from the community. Several kid-friendly activities will be provided, including free bike helmets and fittings, and an interactive bicycle safety workshop.
