Magnuson Nature Programs summer camps got off to a great start with this week's Roots and Shoots Camp, and next week's Wiggly World of Worms Camp is going to be a blast for 16 happy campers. Here's a quick note to update you on other June camp and concert news!
- We have expanded the camp registration for "Soil Detectives Camp" to include campers ages 8 & 9 to join the already-registered campers ages 6-7! This 5-day adventure from Monday June 25th to Friday June 29th will be filled with fun and educational activities and plenty of "snack walks"in the Children's Garden and P-Patch, along with explorations of other park areas. There's room for more campers of all ages, and we're sure that who attend will "dig" all the adventures we have planned, including the International Mud Day celebration on June 29th!
- Friday June 22nd: Caspar Babypants kicks off the first free summer concert from 7-8pm in the Magnuson Amphitheater! We welcome you to stop by the Magnuson Children's Garden anytime between 6:30-8:30pm for our first Free Family Gardening Day activities of the summer too! Volunteers from the Children's Garden Committee will host you in "scratch n' sniff" tours of the garden, nature art sculptures, and more! You can see and hear the music from the Children's Garden, but there are also a few nooks there for quiet family time too.
