On Tuesday, Dec 12th at Lagunitas Brewing Company, there will be a panel discussion with a senior climate policy advisor to Governor Inslee, who was at the Paris Climate Summit negotiating on behalf of the United States and the Obama Administration. His rich perspective on climate change policy development will be put in context by two other exceptional speakers: Nick Touran, Ph.D., an expert on energy issues broadly and a nuclear physicist doing research with TerraPower and LuAnne Thompson, Ph.D., a UW professor in oceanography, and past Director of the UW Program on Climate Change. The panelists will provide short presentations, followed by a moderated discussion and concluding with time for audience questions of the panelists.
This is another in the Climate Science on Tap series bringing energy and climate scientists and other experts out into the community to increase understanding of the urgent issues and providing information on opportunities to get involved. Event is free and open to all ages. Free advance tickets are available through StrangerTickets or RSVP on Facebook.
Enjoy dinner at the Cycle Dogs food truck, enjoy a beer or hard cider, and join the discussion!
