Connecting for a sustainable community

Recycling Event, Sat, April 2nd, in Lake City to Benefit North Helpline (Drive thru and drop or Pickup services available)

North Helpline is a community powered food bank and emergency service center that has provided support to our neighbors in 98115, 98125, 98133, 98155, 98177 for the last 20 years (located in the Lake City area.) Assistance with food, emergency housing and utility assistance, baby cupboard, and Rotacare free medical clinic services was provided in 2010 with volunteer support from our neighbors in NE Seattle and adjoining communities, in excess of 32,000 hours. Our requests for food and emergency assistance went up 35% in 2010. The Recycling Event on April 2nd in Lake City is both a Recycling service to the NE Seattle community and a fundraiser for NHL.
North Helpline and 1Green Planet are both 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that benefit our community with direct services. We are partnering to provide a Recycling event to our NE Seattle neighbors on Saturday, April 2nd, 10am - 2pm in Lake City, at 1933 NE 125th St (the Lake City Christian Church.) This event is free, however free will cash donations to North Helpline will be used to keep people in our community housed and fed!

Electronics, appliances, anything metal or with a plug, cell phones, ink cartridges, and more will be accepted!     This is a drive thru and drop event or you can arrange for volunteer pickup (for a small fee that goes to NHL). Please see the attached flyer for details of the event that will provide a recycling opportunity that will also benefit the North Helpline programs North%20Helpline%20Recycle%20Event.pdf
