Seattle Rain Garden and Cistern Incentive Areas expanded for 2012

City of Seattle homeowners in the these four Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) basins are now eligible for rebates covering most of the cost of installing a rain garden or cistern to control their roof runoff.  There are interactive and printable maps at these links, and the new boundaries shown are approximate.

The WIndermere and North Union Bay areas are huge and represent an opportunity for Sustainable NE Seattle to create clusters of rain gardens and being the transition to more sustainable neighborhoods.  More information here:
