In August of this year, my wife and I started a new peer-to-peer self-storage company right here in Meadowbrook called StowThat.com. The basic premise is this: if you have extra space to spare – like a garage or basement or shed – we have an online marketplace where you can rent it out to people looking for local, less expensive, and safer self-storage space.
StowThat.com helps support sustainability in a number of ways. By helping people put to use underutilized space as self-storage, we reduce the need for additional construction. When people rent from their neighbors, they keep money in our very local community, and doing so provides additional income for families who need it. And, by storing things rather than throwing them away, we keep unnecessary items out of landfills, and reduce the need to purchase new things.
StowThat.com is operating in the Puget Sound area, and we’d love to make our NE Seattle neighborhood community a catalyst for this new business model. If you want to know more about how it works or how you can get involved, you can visit our site at www.stowthat.com, or send me a note at email@example.com We’d love to help you get your space listed and rented on our site or just talk to you about our new business. By the way, listing is free, and because we are in the neighborhood, we can work with you directly on getting started.
