Sorry Leo, we had something come up we cannot make it after all. One of our members of SELF Emenke will be there though I think. We have a shop in Ballard on Ballard ave 4710 stop by or I'll catch you at the next skill share
Hi Leo - a couple of years ago I contacted you about a Transition Handbook study guide for Transition Snoqualmie Valley to use. I've since moved to Lopez Island and there's interest here for a Transition goup. Is that guide (or an updated version) still available and if so, how can I get it? Thanks!!
thats exactly what i was thinking actually leo! could we get together and talk more about a collaboration? is there an event ya'll are hosting soon that i could be a part of? i will also check out the ud transition network thank you!
Hi Leo! Thanks for the welcome and thanks to those in this group who have done so much to build community in NE Seattle and address many pressing issues!! North Helpline and the Lake City Food Bank just celebrated its 20th year of service and is itself an amazing community network (600 - 800 volunteer neighbors!!) who are attempting to address issues of food and economic security on a daily visit. This year alone the need for services in our N Seattle community from NHL and the Food Bank have gone up more than 34%! Please consider stopping by sometime for a visit. Amy Besunder, the ED, would also be interested, I'm sure, in exploring linking up for shared activities or events to mutually promote the work of our groups. I look forward to discovering ways to lend energy and time to the NE Sustainable Seattle group!
Hi Leo, Thanks for the comments. I would certainly be interested in starting a group that examines some of the potential renewable energy technologies that can be utilized here in Seattle. I hope to make it to the general meeting next week so maybe we will have a chance to chat about it then.
Hi Leo, just wanted to let you know that your discussion guide to the TH has been put to good use out here in Transition Snoqualmie Valley. There have been groups in Carnation and Fall City, and it looks like a second session will be starting up in Carnation. Love the guide-good work! We have a lot going on out here and it's amazing how fast it has happened.
Well, I'm wondering if the Peak Moment video series couldn't be recommended to the group at large for viewing. I'm not sure that Sus Sea NE needs to organize a specific event but individuals or groups could review the titles and choose appropriate episodes to show at their meetings.
