Thanks for friending me on Susainable NE Seattle. I went on the website to upload my picture but when I tried to “open” the picture the program kicked me back to my documents file. Not sure what the problem was.
At any rate, I have several things I’d like to do on the site, but am not sure how to. I’m wondering if I might gt together with you for an hour Saturday afternoon or Monday at Third Place Books to work on these things:
Uploading a picture
Sending out my own friends requests
Joining some guilds
Creating an event to discuss seed saving with others
As well, I saw the poster at the library for the events of the group for the fourth quarter. The December event is a potluck and crafting gathering. However, the poster doesn’t say how the crafting comes into the picture. Are we to bring crafting projects to work on at the event? Crafts we have made? Is it an exchange. I would like to sign up for this event, but don’t want to show up with the wrong thing in terms of the crafting segment.
Please call me if you are willing to meet for a short time. I will not check email anymore until Sunday or Monday. 206-877-3545.
I have a message from another fake "member" that is clearly phishing. (I sent you a message in September about the first one, and you booted them.) Are other people getting these messages as well? I'm wondering why our little group, which seems too small to attract much attention, is being targeted. Weird, and a little creepy. I don't have this problem in any other group I'm in.
How is everything with you,I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately.I have something very vital to disclose to you,but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on(firstname.lastname@example.org)for the full details. Have a nice day.
Greenwood P.S. I tried to send this as a message, but the "send" button wouldn't work. So I decided to post it as a comment. When I came over here, I saw the same message to you. I guess that answers one of my questions.
I've missed seeing you and have wanted to reconnectt. I thought I'd check out what's happening here before calling you and found out about the Emergency Preparedness Kits. I'd like to attend. Is there a fee? Will you be there?
This message is primarily for Bill Aston. I'm Jeff Hall and I'm interested in volunteering for the green drinks and Ice Cream making. My phone number is 425-315-5912 and my email is email@example.com and the website for The Sustainable Living Institute is www.designingfreedom.org
I see from your profile info that you are a graphic designer! I was wondering if you'd have any interest in using your skills to help make a Transition-related computer game as part of the Awareness Guild here. I am a game programmer, and I would like to lead an effort to develop computer games that would help spread awareness and understanding of issues such as peak oil, soil erosion, sustainable agriculture, and financial systems.
If this sounds interesting and you'd like to know more about it, send me a reply on my page!
Thanks, Joann, Yes, I wish I could have been with you at that event last summer. I look forward to becoming more family with the group and contributing my skills and talents where needed. Warmly, Trudy
The NSCC Sustainability Club is just getting geared up for the new school year. We hope to partner with another student club to create a community garden, work with Northgate Elementary in whatever capacity they need, and arrange for a speaker to come to NSCC to talk about the Kyoto Protocol. Already, we’ve partnered with the Vets Club and Honors Society to put on “A Knead for Unity”, a free community building event held in our cafeteria, 5:30 to 6:30 all this week. We are using the baking of bread as a metaphor for building a community, and at the end of the evening everyone gets a freshly baked loaf to take home to their families!
Do you have any ideas we could tackle at our next meeting?
