Dear Carrie:  Thanks for your question and interest.  Please let me know if I can answer and further questions.

BTW I've started a Facebook page for Solarize NE Seattle, "like" us and you'll be updated as to our progress.

Dear Carrie:  I received a message from Joanne Kerr regarding the zip code boundaries of Solarize NE Seattle.  It appears that Jessica already responded.

I would add that the intent of Solarize projects is to lower the cost of solar electric systems generally.  The Solarize projects serve to raise the consciousness of the public to the viability of these systems and help drive the marketplace to become more efficient and cheaper for everyone.

Bottom-line I would suggest:

  1. Register at
  2. Feel free and come sit in on the upcoming community informational meetings we'll be having in January

I hope this helps, please let me know if I've missed something.  Take care.

Hi Carrie,

The Solarize Seattle program runs by region, so the Northeast campaign will only be for zip codes 98115, 98105, and 98125. There will most likely be additional iterations, the Magnolia and Queen Anne iterations have been very successful. Please sign up at as we are tracking which zip codes are showing interest and you will receive info when we start looking for additional neighborhoods.

Welcome Carrie!  We have had a barter fair the last two falls, and plan to do it again in October. It has been the first Sunday in October- so mark your calendar!

Hope we meet in person someday soon!
