Help with Outreach - Come on Volunteers!!

Two opportunities are coming up that I strongly encourage any of you who are looking for a very quick and easy activity to do as a volunteer:



1. Sat.,.Sept. 12, Seattle Tilth Harvest Fair - Help out in the tent for 'North SCALLOPS" -working with people from other nearby Sustainable groups: Greenlake, Wallingford, etc. -- as well as Sustainable Ballard. Should be a fun time! (10-5pm)

Citizen's Climate Lobby (CCL) - Making a Difference at the Federal Level

Citizens concerned about stopping greenhouse gas emmisions as soon as possible are forming small groups around the nation to lobby their Congressional representatives. Taking inspiration from Marshall Saunders, founder of Results - a 28 year old organization that has lobbied effectively on hunger and poverty issues, they are learning effective techniques to persuasively influence key decision makers.

Introducing NEST - Northeast Seattle Together!

(Not to be confused with Feet First's project NEST, North East Seattle Trails) this wonderful non-profit organization is "dedicated to insuring that as we grow older, we can continue to live in our own homes, in the neighborhood that we love". Posting Flyers is Fun!

Come and join the team of Flyer Posters! Get the word out about our events and help build a sustainable neighborhood! Feel good about doing good! It doesn't take a lot of time.
